David "el Gringo" Campbell
David is an avid cyclist who I guess you could safely say has been passionate about cycling since an early age! He spends equal amounts of time hammering it out on the road as well as on the trails, and when he's not in some far off land working on the latest MBA adventure, he's on his bike training! He tries to split his racing time equally between mountain bike, road bike and adventure races. David is from Oakville, Canada and first travelled to South America eight years ago to enrol in Spanish immersion. Since then his love for South America has grown along with the frequency of his visits. David speaks both English and Spanish and is very familiar with Chile, Spain and Peru and all they have to offer. David is an OMBI certified Mountain Bike Instructor, a JGSI certified Spinning Instructor and is WFR certified by Wilderness Medical Associates (www.wildmed.com). He is the founder of Mountain Bike Adventures and is involved with and acts as a guide on every MBA trip. |

Santiago Andres Chamorro
Santiago is from Pinto, Chile and lives with his family in the house that his great, great, grandfather built in the 1800's. Santiago goes to school in the off season but works full time for MBA running the support crew during the riding season in Chile. Although he's still working on his English, the man can dance like nobody's business! |

| Javier "Huevón" Gonzalez Javier is an animal biologist from San Bernardo, Chile. Although Javier is relatively new to mountain biking, he is a long time roadie. Javier's background in science supplies us with extensive knowledge of the region's flora and fauna, in addition to other proven wilderness skills. At present Javier is taking the Chilean winter off to travel to Russia by way of a cargo ship but will be returning to help guide for the next season in the Andes. And this guy can sing and dance too! |

Of course, you will meet many new people along the way. In the "Across the Andes" trip, the Chilean countryside is home to some of the warmest and kindest people anywhere. Proud but unassuming, these people will offer you their shirts off their backs or their last glass of wine without having known you form more than a few moments. |

| Each MBA excursion trip is made up of 2 guides, 2-3 support crew, a cook and 4x4 support vehicles. While this kind of adventure is accompanied by inherent risks, Mountain Bike Adventures has taken every precaution to ensure each trip is a safe one.
MBA is fully trained in first aid procedures and is WFR certified by Wilderness Medical Associates (www.wildmed.com). In addition to the advanced medical training and mobile emergency equipment, each guide and support vehicle is equipped with powerful 2-way radios with emergency frequencies programmed should the need ever arise for immediate outside assistance. While our goal is to provide you with the most amazing and memorable holiday of your life, getting you home safely is still our number one priority! |
